Jack Champion’s sculptures are inspired by the natural world which surrounds him and the surreal world of artists he admires such as Salvador Dali and Hieronymus Bosch. His method evolves from a single image or scene sketched on paper to a 3-dimensional sculpture or multi figured scene.

Jack’s creativity is ignited by the qualities of clay, metal, wood, resin, and bronze. He likes to play with scale and often creates enormous figures. He is interested and engaged in all the steps of his process: Jack sculpts his forms, builds the molds, casts, welds, assembles, and color finishes his work on site in his art studio. His strong engineering skills permit him to be very hands on for the installation of his artwork. The sense of wonder, humor, and amazement which capture Jack Champion’s attention are often expressed in his creations.
